David 'Kid' Jensen is a British radio broadcaster who began his career in the 1960s, and became well-known for his work on BBC Radio 1 from the 1970s to the 1980s. Born in Canada in 1950, Jenson moved to the UK in his teens and began his career as a DJ on pirate radio stations. He joined BBC Radio 1 in 1976, where he hosted a variety of shows including the "Kid Jensen Show" and "Jensen's Journey".
In 1984, Jensen left Radio 1 and joined Capital Radio. From 1977 to 1983 Jensen regularly presented Top of the Pops. He is remembered for co-hosting TOTP primarily with John Peel. Jensen last appeared on Top of the Pops for the 25th Anniversary special in 1988.
