Brief Biog Don Partridge (born 27 October 1944, in Bournemouth, Dorset, England) is an English busker, one-man band and singer-songwriter, who found fleeting fame in the mid to late 1960s. In the late sixties, following the release of his hit song "Rosie", one-man-band Don Partridge became a household name. But Don was too unconventional even for the music business so, after touring Britain with a band of fellow street musicians and organising a "Buskers Happening" at the Albert Hall, he abandoned stardom for a life on the road.
