Donald Peers was a music hall artist born in Wales, 10th July 1908, and one of five children.He came to prominence on BBC radio after the 1939/45 war when he had his own half-hour programme on a Sunday. He had a number of top ten records in the U.K. but lost popularity after a reported marital scandal as his target audience was mainly female. Also the advent of rock and roll in the early fifties didn't help his career. he died 9th August 1973. Read more on Last.fm
