Alison Howe

Alison Howe is a British television producer and executive best known for her work in live music broadcasting and entertainment at the BBC. Joining the corporation in the 1990s. She became closely associated with Top of the Pops in the late 2000s and 2010s, serving as executive producer for many Top of the Pops Christmas and New Year specials under the BBC Music banner. Working alongside Mark Cooper, Howe helped sustain the TOTP brand after its weekly editions ended, delivering annual editions that celebrated the year in pop music. She has been involved in producing some of the Top of the Pops: Story of… specials. Beyond Top of the Pops, Howe has overseen a range of major music productions including Later… with Jools Holland, BBC Music Awards, Radio 2 In Concert, and BBC Glastonbury coverage.
