It's been a while since Emma Bunton had to try and convince anyone she was a baby - and with her clear skills in the walking/talking/chewing her own food departments, it's amazing the ruse ever worked. But does that mean she's over the hill? We found out...

Question

Baby Bunton The TOTP Verdict: Well done. You scored seven out of ten. You are officially over twice as baby as you are old lady.

Answer

Awww! That just means I'm growing up!

Question

Having got that important stuff out of the way, what's going on with you at the minute?

Answer

Ooh, very busy. Obviously the single 'Maybe' is out on the 13th October, which is great, and I'm just doing TVs. Which is quite different cos I'm doing some dancing. It's been fab, I love this track. It's very up. And everyone seems to be really enjoying it.

Question

So, if you're dancing, is this like a return to your Spice past?

Answer

I'm moving, I'm moving. It's great. But I think that the inspiration was more from musical films from back in the '60s and '70s and stuff. We've taken some dance moves from there, which has been great. Very different.

Question

How did you end up writing a song you could dance to?

Answer

It's something I wrote lyrically and for the melodies I worked with a guy called Yak (Bondy). It's just about when you first think you're in love and you're not quite sure but you get quite excited by it and it's all a bit of a mad time. And the video really show that, I think, cos the dance is very controlled and then we all of a sudden go mad. I think you get a bit of that when you fall in love, that madness.

Question

Have you spoken to Melanie C recently?

Answer

I have, yes.

Question

She's had a weird time of it...

Answer

She has, bless her. But she'll be fine. She's a very determined young lady. She'll be up and about soon. I think she's just got to relax for a bit and take some time. She's gone home, so she's just relaxing.

Question

Did you watch her on The Games?

Answer

Yes. I loved it. I just thought how rubbish I would be! [laughs] But it was good fun.

Question

Would you ever do any post-celebrity TV shows?

Answer

[Gasps at 'post-celebrity'] Oooh! [Thinks] Well, I've been so busy. Obviously music is so important to me, so I generally stick to that. No. I'm quite a private person, too...

Question

Having conquered the world with your pop music, do you have any advice for the likes of Alex Parks?

Answer

Fame Academy winner AlexEmma:I think I would definitely say to anyone that they should travel. It's such a big world out there, and they should definitely go abroad and be international. The one thing I've been thinking about which is different is that when we were doing it it was all about having fun, not knowing quite what was going on, and just enjoying it. We didn't really know where we were gonna be in the charts, we weren't styled, we did our own styling. We wrote our own tracks and it was all much more fun. Whereas I think today it's a little bit more serious about everything, and if you're not a No.1 it's upsetting. You've got to keep it fun and make sure you enjoy it and go with it. I think that's why people really identified with us cos we were just going with it and making it fun.

Question

You weren't afraid to make party music either. What did you think when Girls Aloud came out with a similar 'girls on a night out' approach...

Answer

They're really fiesty and I'm a big fan. You always saw that with us, we were really animated and you could see that we were enjoying every second of it. That's something we could bring back a bit more. I think people need to have a good time with it, really.

Question

Do you think the Spice Girls are ripe for rediscovery?

Answer

Remember this lot? I'd like to think so. Even today we all get positive feedback and again I think because it was very new and exciting it's always gonna be something that won't be done again. People have always been positive about the Spice Girls and that's great.

Question

How bored are you answering questions about Victoria's marriage?

Answer

[Gets flustered] Ummm...Well the thing is...I mean...y'know...they're very happy, I know them as a couple and as parents and that's how I know them. Luckily I don't get asked too much.
