2019-present: Return of "the" Neon Logo
After six years of Christmas and New Year specials, Top of the Pops finally got a refreshed opening title sequence and a 'new' worthy logo. Well, a 'new' logo may be a stretch. But the iconic 1981-1986 TOTP neon logo made an iconic return. A new opening title, but the Ben Chapman and CCS remix from the previous 2013-2018 opening title sequence remained. Similarly to the 2013 TOTP opening title sequence, a camera zooms in, out and around the classic neon TOTP logo.
The new opening titles also ushered in more prominent branding across the TOTP specials, with the neon logo being adorned on numerous presentation items throughout the TOTP specials, and in the TOTP studio. The opening titles and presentation package remain somewhat unaltered since 2019, with the same brand presentation being used most recently for the "Top of the Pops: Review of 2024" episode.
