Richard Skinner

Richard Skinner is a British radio presenter and former television presenter, best known for his work on BBC Radio 1. He began his broadcasting career in the late 1970s, working as a DJ at various clubs in London before joining BBC Radio 1 in 1978.

During his time at Radio 1, Skinner presented a number of different shows, including the weekday mid-morning show and the Top 40 countdown show. He was also known for his interviews with a wide range of musicians and celebrities, and was well-respected for his knowledge of the music industry.

Skinner left Radio 1 in 1986 to join Capital Radio. Skinner also hosted a number of TV shows, including "The Old Grey Whistle Test" and "Top of the Pops". He has also worked for a number of different stations, including Magic FM and Absolute Radio.

Richard regularly presented Top of the Pops from 1980 to 1985. Due to him briefly returning to BBC Radio 1, he also presented two editions of the show in 1988 and 1989.
