2006-2012: The Final Countdown (Montage)
When the weekly editions of Top of the Pops finished, on 30th July 2006, a revised opening title sequence was introduced. It paid homage to TOTP past. Snippets of the past 40 years of TOTP logos and opening title sequences were added to the 2003 opening title sequence, and the Now Get Out Of That (Remix) theme tune remained. This opening title sequence would remain in use, albeit with a snow effect for the next 6 years of TOTP Christmas specials.
