Clara Amfo

Clara Amfo is a British radio and television presenter who was born on May 28, 1984, in Kingston upon Thames, London, England. She began her career in radio as a presenter on the student radio station at the University of East Anglia, and later moved on to work at various radio stations such as Kiss FM, Capital FM, and BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Amfo is best known for her work as a presenter on BBC Radio 1, where she hosts the mid-morning show. She has also presented the BBC's coverage of Glastonbury Festival, the BAFTA Awards, and the BBC's coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. In addition to her radio work, Amfo has also appeared on several television shows, including BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, where she reached the quarterfinals.

Throughout her career, Amfo has been recognized for her contributions to the media industry. She was awarded the Rising Star award at the 2015 Radio Academy Awards, and in 2018, she was named as one of the Top 10 most influential black Britons by the Powerlist. 

Clara has been the host of the Top of the Pops Christmas and New Year Specials since 2017.
