Mark Cooper

Mark Cooper is a British television producer and music executive best known for his leadership of BBC Music and for reviving Top of the Pops as an annual television event. As Head of Music Television for the BBC, Cooper was responsible for some of the corporation's most acclaimed live-music programming, including Later… with Jools Holland and the BBC's Glastonbury Festival coverage. From 2005 to 2018, he executive-produced the Top of the Pops Christmas and New Year specials, ensuring the brand's continued presence on BBC One following the end of the weekly show.
