The year it all began! Top of the Pops broadcast for the first time on TVs across the nation on Wednesday 1st January 1964 at 6:35pm on BBC Television. Music would never be the same again. 1964 showcased talent such as Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
